My story as a psychic medium picks up right where it left off in Part 1 of this series, My Journey to Becoming a Psychic Medium | Medium Drew’s Story. After my life-changing meditative experience, I repeatedly heard a voice every time I put my hands under water, saying, “This is Jonathan. You’ve gotta call Jason.” Initially, I resisted, but the voice persisted until I finally made the call.

Jason was a friend of a friend, and I felt a little awkward reaching out. However, I trusted the process, remembering how the psychic who set me on this path had told me I would one day become a psychic medium. At the time, I laughed it off, but now I was curious.

Sure enough, Jason did know a Jonathan. As we talked, more details about Jonathan emerged. It wasn't like I imagined—Jonathan wasn’t standing next to me, whispering in my ear. Instead, I felt his energy, understanding him on a deeper level through visions, thoughts, and feelings that came through me rather than from me.

Jason's family invited me over and asked if I could identify Jonathan in their family photos. Nervously, I agreed. That night, I experienced my first true reading. It felt like doing energy charades underwater—a challenging yet profound experience. Even as a beginner, I was able to recognize Jonathan by his eyes, the windows to the soul.

After experimenting with my gift on my own, I sought formal training and found my spiritual home at Arthur Findlay College for Psychic Sciences and Mediumship in England. The college focused on experiential learning, which helped me develop my abilities through hands-on practice rather than just theory. Surrounded by other gifted students, I remained humble and committed to refining my skills.

Arthur Findlay College became my home for evidence-based metaphysical learning, allowing me to travel the world and study with diverse people. Those years laid the foundation for my career as a psychic medium, and I am forever grateful for the experience.

People often ask what it’s like to give a reading. The answer is simple: it's all about energy. There's an energetic connection between me, the recipient, and the spirits communicating through me. When I begin a reading, my mind becomes a blank slate, and I experience physical sensations like a skipped heartbeat or a brief hot flash before everything settles and the connection begins.

During a reading, information comes in various ways—seeing, hearing, feeling, or just intuitively knowing things I previously didn’t. Sometimes, I feel a presence and intuitively know their relationship to the person I’m reading for. Other times, it’s a sudden realization of a specific detail, such as sensing a deceased father figure.

For a reading to be successful, the recipient must be energetically open. A good reading addresses the recipient's needs, not necessarily their wants. If someone is too focused on hearing from a particular person, it can create energetic barriers.

Although I sometimes function as a "spirit DJ," requesting specific spirits, the connection isn't always predictable. Messages often come from unexpected sources, such as distant relatives or acquaintances with vital messages for the recipient.

Each reading is unique, filled with surprises and profound moments. While it can be intimidating to get things wrong, I embrace the vulnerability that comes with my work. It keeps the process exciting and meaningful. However, I take my ethical responsibility seriously, carefully discerning what to share and ensuring that my guidance is rooted in truth and integrity.

Being a psychic medium is an honor, and I am both humbled and inspired by the role I play in people's healing journeys.
